I had a similar experience with an old British TV set. It was a typical 
crappy 60s set with series heaters and a live chassis. The cabinet was 
wooden but there were bolts in the bottom that screwed into the chassis. 
Having picked the set up to move it I proceeded to dance around the room 
with 60 lbs of TV in my hands and 240 volts on my fingers. Could make a
new 
exercise craze.
