Hi Jan.  I started a separate thread for this topic of
current  regulation, but it looks as if you have supplied
enough info to tie up all the loose ends before the thread
really gets started:-))

I wil take a look at the link. I very much like the idea of one
regulator per EL34, and and one per pair for the B9As, and
am interested in the fact that only one set of peripheral
components are needed.

This whole idea of the usefulness of current regulation
came to me when I was running a prototype amp
from a bench power supply, and noticed the huge
current drawn by the cold heaters.
