The reason why Pauline was able to gete elected into politics was the
absense
of anyone else worth voting for amoung the extremist red-necks of
Queensland
who hate everyone who isn't white.
Despiote Oz largely being a tolerant multicultural nation, we do have
a ****tion who's ideas are very anti brown folks.
Pauline had some rotten anti asian views which gave Oz a stinking
reputation
while she was around.
Once the Liberals and Labour parties got rid of her as harshly as
possible,
the Libs stole some of her policies, dressed them to look pretty,
and used them to win the 2004 election.

All those nationalities will maintain their identity if the wish.
But after another 100 years, all of them may have become homogenised
to have one dominant culture based mainly around survival because at the
rate
of interconnectedness and the sheer numbers in the world,
all the cultures will overlap and mix up a lot in ways we now cannot
begin to imagine.
Certainly, after another 1,000 years, or 10,000 years, ideas about
the USA or Oz will be similar to maybe how we think about ancient Egypt.
Regardless of what you'd prefer, the world will take its own course
of mixing up the races at least on the edges as is happening now, and
they'll be wars and pestilences and famines and plentys and cures and
wonders
and failures and successes which will pressure mixing and progress one
way or the other
or many ways. And probably rather differently to how you or I would
prefer
in the immediate future.

Anyway, whoever said the above doesn't understand why
The USA is hated so much in many places.
Seems to me like there are plenty of people who think the US
owes the rest of the world plenty of explanations and far better trade
deals,
and willingness to stop greenhouse emissions and stop underhand
political manipulations
and country stealing in the middle east to get the last drops of oil.
I could say Australia is my country because my ancestors, White Men Of
Europe, took it from the Aboriginies.
That IS what happened, and frankly, the way we went about it leaves me
disgusted,
and not at all proud to be a raving Nationalist like the above quoted.
I like my country, but its just another country.
When Vietnam was on I wouldn't fight. I believe in the freedom to object
to
what some dumbass politician in the US decides, and withold what warrior
contribution
I could make.
I see who makes up our population, and have never felt a need to buy an
Australian flag.
While I like the standard of living here it appalls me that brown
skinned folks in their countries
are being routinely exploited to do all the dirty work for
wealthy white men and their fat wives, all for $2 a day if they are
lucky.
So while the international social injustices exist, and all the other
world problems because of
the Big White Fat Life, pride isn't something I ever feel.
Humanity should leave the world in better shape when it leaves than when
it came.
But I don't see it happening.
