 The correlation between performance on the various IQ tests in use
today and success in general life in modern society is very high. Not
perfect,but high enough that we can reliably say that individuals
measuring under certain numbers are virtually guaranteed to fail at
holding steady employment, successfully dealing with common social
situations and in childrearing.

 There is no doubt that aboriginal peoples generally possess
instinctive characteristics that enable their survival that more
evolved peoples do not, despite their higher overall intelligence.
Survival in the outback or the veldt did not require advanced forms of
cognitive thinking, but it did require that its denizens be able to
size up situations instinctively-for detailed training was difficult
in pre-literate societies with the most primitive languages-that
Europeans and Asians could deal with only after rigorous training if
at all.

 However, those skills do nothing for them in the context of an
advanced society. In that environment they are not functional. If they
were simply left strictly alone and unbothered they could exist as
they always had, as long as sufficient real estate was available for
their wandering.  A combination of habitat depletion and the desire of
do-gooders, liberals, and other such vermin to enable them to "live
like decent human beings" generally puts them in the context of a
Western, or at least structured human society, and there they fail.
