I agree with much of what you've said on this, but I believe that people 
do change.  At any rate, Obama just KNOWS the guy, as do many others.  
The implication by Hannity is that Obama shares his past beliefs, which 
is ridiculous.

Which is the same reason that every President seems to do that.
