It's already a federal felony, with severe penalties. I have issues with 
Scott, but his comment about "homeless children" is to the point. A good
law 
is carefully crafted to avoid untoward side effects. The LA law may have 
been devised without as much scrutiny as laws enacted on the federal and 
state level.  Municipalities are accustomed to dealing with very concrete 
issues, while intellectual property is inherently abstract.

There is no separation between us on the degree of punishment for piracy. 
But the principle of law is even more im****tant. A government of good law
is 
respected, but a government of bad law must demand respect.
