The 2000 Camry XLE has the premium JBL sound system with a separate amp.
The
existing Camry radio/6 CD changer went south and I'm replacing it with a
new
head unit. So I have questions:
1 Is the amp located behind the glove compartment for the 2000 Camry
XLE?
2 Where can I get pinout and interconnection diagram information for
the
XLE? I might just ended up tracing the wires one by one, but if
information
is available, I would appreciate it.
3 The new headunit has preamp outputs for both the front and back
speakers. Is it better to use the existing JBL amp or use the integrated
amp
on the headunit? Ok, I could try it both ways and found out, assume I get
this far.
I've Googled and found very little information on the XLE relative
switching the JBL sound system to a conventional headunit so thank you in
advance for any instructions or advice.
