Y'know, come to think of it, I've been re-building a lot of old gear
lately. I would recommend that once you have a tech involved and have
the thing open, just go ahead and replace ALL electrolytic and
tantalum capacitors that you find. Replacements are very cheap. Also,
I'd recommend replacing the battery on any old micro-processor based
gear.
