Alesis QuadraVerb (repair help requested)

Hello to all,

I have a Quadraverb that I love. Right now she is very ill. The first
symptoms were her LCD was fading and went blank all together. I presume
that
the LCD needs to be replaced. I've been mixing live sound for about 20
years, though I am not an electrical engineer. The only tool I have is a
multi-tester. If anyone would care to share some ideas with me, I would
greatly appreciate it. Please don't suggest I take it to a service center.
The closest one that would even know what a QuadraVerb is two hours away
in
Atlanta. I have tried to find an LCD replacement part. I could only find
one
company that had an QuadraVerb LCD and they quoted almost $80.00. I
thought
was way to much. I would also be interested in buying a used or
non-working
unit. That has a working LCD.
