I think you missed my point. I'd prefer to hook the subwoofer to my front
channel amp that way I could use it with 2 channel sound as well. I'm not
running stereo sources through my 5.1 decoder, my itunes and fm go straigh
to my main amp amp (which is also the front channels from my 5.1 decoder).
But what I'm not sure of is the 5.1 audio include a specifically coded
subwoofer output, or does it simply send the lows to the sub out? If all
it
does is send the lows to the sub out then I can add the subwoofer to my 2
channel stereo. Otherwise I have to figure out how to move the sub back
and
forth between my 5.1 decoder and my stereo. I want to be able to use the
sub with stereo input as well as 5.1.
