I have a 42 inch HDTV in my living room. When I build a new house this
will be going into a large master bedroom. I have my main home
theater HDTV in the entertainment room and I have Klipsch speakers for
that. I paid around $2000 for them. Since this is a smaller room and
not used as heavily I want surround sound speakers but a cheaper
system. I have a 7.1 Yamaha receiver and am looking for 5.1 speakers.
I prefer something small but with good sound and something that I can
mount on the walls.
I hope to spend around $500-$1000 and here are the speaker systems I'm
considering:
Klipsch Quintet III along with Subwoofer 10
Klipsch Series Cinema 6
Klipsch Seriesl Cinema 8
HSU VT12
SVS SBS-01
Athena Point 5
Athena Micra 6
I will be using it probably 70% of the time for DVD's and TV. The
other 30% I'll use it for music (CD's). I want something that will
work well for both of these uses.
Thanks for any help and opinions on these speakers. Unfortunately I've
had a hard time finding a place to listen to these so will be buying
online.
