Tell me about it. When I was on the ****ps we would often get kids looking
at 
the desks or parents saying their kids were interested in theatre. I would

always offer them the tour backstage to show them how everything worked 
(ALWAYS with parents in attendance) and we even got some kids running 
sound/lights on some of the simpler events, suitably supervised of course,

taking time out to teach them in the hope that maybe one day they would
end 
up making a career of it. Some of the younger kids used to get escorted 
backstage to have their photos taken with the cast members between shows
and 
it was great seeing how we'd helped to make their holiday really special. 
Then of course some "youth security" ****wit decides that can be classed
as 
"grooming" and stops it all happening. Things are just waaaaaaaay too 
politically correct these days.
