I did the Lovell sisters in the small room last night. Wonderful show.
Three teen age girls up front playing mando, fiddle and dobro + vocals.
Young kids that get bluegrass with a taste of newness.
Here is the question for you george since you used to do this a lot.
They had pickups on the dobro and mando. I used a KSM44 and 414 as
accoustic mikes on them also.
What combinations did you use when you were doing it to mike accoustic
instruments?
The mando pickup was a little midrangey for my tastes and i had
to EQ the piss out of it. Dobro was great. The show was great.
