Behringer Powerplay 8000 headphone amp - DIRECT IN

by "Wes Stebbins" <WesGuitar@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 14, 2008 at 06:54 PM

Another question I have regarding the Behringer Powerplay 8000 headphone
amp - the user manual states that, unlike the HA-4700, "In the case of
this
model, the MAIN signal being fed in is automatically interrupted when the
said input is in use."

Well, the manual is right! But what good does this DIRECT IN do then? I
mean, I thought one use could be to have my bass players feed into the
direct in (via the bass amp's direct/ine out of course) on say - his
channel - so he'd be able to hear himself better and thus keep his stage
volume down some. But, this apparently would work only at the expense of
not being able to hear anything else through his particular channel (i.e.,

vocals, etc.).

Thanks for any constructive input on this topic.
