We've seen it with an HP laptop: no XP drivers for a SATA HDD. This was
last 
fall, and maybe HP got smart and released them. Dell is planning to ****p 
systems with XP 'downgrades' when it can no longer be sold outright. You
get 
a Vista install disk, a Vista license, and run XP. Perfectly legal for
most 
varieties of Vista. (We did this with 98 and 2k for a long time on our 
****pped systems...in fact we still ****p one system type with 98)
