wireless IEM ... tips for wearing?

by qzectb <qzectb@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 28, 2008 at 08:29 AM

I just took the plunge and bought a wireless IEM system (Shure PSM400)
with SCL-5 earphones. Having tried them out a bit in my practice
room, I'm now wondering how folks usually wear them so as to minimize
pulling on the wires while playing guitar.

What I've been doing is putting the plugs in my ear canal and bending
the wires over the top of my ears so the wire runs down my back. I
then plug it into the beltpack. I find that when I put my guitar
strap on, it's tricky to keep it from pulling on the wires, which is
uncomfortable on my ears and, in a worse case, could threaten to pull
the plugs out. Should I be running the wire under my ****rt? Are
there other tricks people use to ensure comfort and security?

Thanks
