You would probably find navigating to post, read, and reply a lot easier 
*not* thru Google, and maybe make fewer multiple posts !  Just like with 
email, web-based solutions are real clutzy in comparison to dedicated 
applications. The downside it that Google Groups dos have groups that are 
specificially Groups on Google , and not real USENET newsgroups - but
fails 
to make it obvious whichis which.
