Or as suggested, you could alter the existing mixer so certain channels
have
that send 'pre fader'. In some of the Mackie manuals they even have this
very mod described (see page 62 for the sr24.4) and a pic of the circuit
board. I'd suggest getting a tech to do the mod and weigh that cost vs an
upgrade to a mixer that does what you need.
