Fine. I was there, measured it myself, and measured the output as the 
digital volume control was clicked. For that sort of thing we used a Fluke

true RMS (20-20k or something) DMM that had a nifty relative dB scale,
which 
measured to .01 dB, and was biannually calibrated to NBS traceable
standards 
because of the nature of my job (QA).

So, believe me or not, whatever. Hook up a meter to your TV and click the 
volume control. Good TVs have lots of volume resolution, cheap ones don't.
