Sennheiser EW300 problem

by "Chas Gill" <Chas.Gill@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 8, 2008 at 12:17 PM

I have one of these systems that is acting up. The receiver display shows
hard-on AF peak at all times - even with no audio input on the transmitter
-
but there is no audible noise at the desk. It is independent of
transmitter (I've tried more than one), so it looks like a receiver fault
-
but it needs appropriately tuned RF from any transmitter to show itself,
i.e. the instant any tuned transmitter is switched on the receiver goes
straight into displayed AF Peak. Strangely enough the system still works
and there appears to be no audible distortion. However I'm a little
worried
that inaudible (sub or super) frequencies may be doing silent damage along

the signal chain. Has anyone come across this before and is it fixable?

Regards

Chas
