Kenwood (And many other companies such as Pioneer) do, however, make
radios that either have an AUX-in or can have an AUX in.
Kenwood AM/FM/FM/Cassette in my car has a jack on the back that accepts
a special plug that connects to an external CD-changer.... OR... in my
case. a pair of "line in" jacks Shows up as CD then changes to A/V on
my display. If it were a real CD changer the radio could control it.
Pioneer has their I/O buss connector, again you can get devices that
plug in that give you a line in, or a CD changer or.. Selected "other"
products (I can and have fed it with my computer for example)
I have a pioneer in my other ride. (Factory installed, though I plugged
in the adapter) The pioneer adapters are daisy chainable So I could
plug in a CD-Changer plus a LINE IN plus a Sirus or XM radio plus,
plus.. Well, I don't know how many addresses there are on the buss but
I'd guess either 4, 8 or 16 (2,3,4 bits)
Then I use one of my 4 ****table MD players (powered by the car-adapter)
to spin the discs. HI-Md if I'm playing anything other than standard MDs
I also have an R2, R55 and a Sharp that can spin SP regular discs.
