I am trying to put together some economical remote reporting kits for
my volunteer community radio station using minidisc recorders. I've
had good success with my MZ-RH910.
I have in hand a MZ-N707 unit which takes Mic In recording but I am
told (and my tests wiith Soncistage are confirming) it is designed to
NOT allow uploads of recorded files to a PC for editing.
Does anyone know a work around for this obstacle? either some
alternative software or some other way to get recordings onto a PC so
I can edit them using Audacity or other similar? the problem seems to
be that a N707 only records in NetMD and Sonicstage will only transfer
HiMD recordings (and Sonicstage appears to be the only way to access
files on a MD unit.)
It's been suggested that I play them normally (real time) and grab the
output to the Line In recording on AUdacity. But I expect the quality
will drop dramatically.
Many thanks,
Peter
