I have never noticed my stealth mics picking up any humm (Which normally
indicates either a power supply or ground fault) but they do pick up
motor noise (Being tight in)

Of course when I'm doing an interview in stealth mode. the motor noise,
which is cyclic in nature, and on a fixed cycle, confirms the recording
has not been tampered with. so that's a good thing :)

(Yes I was once a paid professional paranoid, it really was part of my
job description to be paranoid about some things)
