I have no personal experience with that particular model but as a general
rule, non-professional MD units would transfer from MD to PC via TOSLINK
only
if the MD was recorded via analog input: mic, line-in, etc.

Look
for the section on serial copy management system restrictions.

The RH1 will transfer almost anything to PC via USB.
