I hear that "Always fully discharge it" line from time to time.
I don't know about NiMh here, but I know with SOME battery types they
recommend that, for best life, you not discharge beyond the 1/2 point
The reasons they give do not apply to NiMh but the logic, extended,
might just apply.
A battery is good for say 1,000 cycles, a cycle is a FULL discharge and
recharge,,, Now if you only discharge 50 percent it should, in theory be
good for 2,000 half cycles.
But you might find it is good for 2500 half cycles.
