Older battery technology had more 'memory' issues and it was 'recommended'
to drain the battery before charging. You don't really hear about that so
much anymore. As a rule of thumb, only recharge the battery when it
absolutely needs it. However I doubt if charging a partially charged
battery once in a while, really does much harm.
