I've an NH900 which is pretty much mothballed as backup to my
everyday-use RH10. It's really a classic down to the case styling. At
the time I got it, I remember debating whether to get the '800 for the
FM and convenience of AA (my previous and first MD player was an R700
with the 'AA bulge'). I went with the '900 for its switchable line out
which proved to be very useful, and always meant to get an '800 as
backup to it, but upgraded to an RH10 when they came out instead. Both
are still alive and well, and since A3+352kbps, I haven't yet
considered a 'modern' replacement DAP. I'll use 'em both til they die,
and then decide. Sony's new MP3 6xx/8xx flash DAPs are reputed to
sound pretty good, but I have not done a comparison with any of my
Atrac stuff (NH900, RH10, A1200 8GB hard drive player, E507 1GB flash
player, E005 2GB flash player). Cheers.
