The only way I know of involves a soldering iron, parts, special
connectors and the like. And alas, I have not the knowledge to do it
properly but I can tell you what it is.
IF, the RH1 has the connector like on the older Mini-Discs where the
headphone jack has a slot next to it and there is a headset plug with a
flag, with electrical contacts, then you need a spare plug w/flag, An
old remote from an old Mini-disc should work here.
You also need the connection pattern for the PAUSE control
Set recorder in Record-pause, have timer pulse a relay hooked to the
proper resistor for the PAUSE button, that will UN-PAUSE it, and when
done the timer again sends a pluse to the relay that immitates the PAUSE
button.
Alas, I don't know the resistance, I don't know the connections and I
can only "Sketch out" (which I've done here) not build the device
