Can anyone recommend a good 8-track analogue tape recorder? I am keen
to teach some of our pupils the basics of recording, and I'd like to do
it "properly" as it were. I don't need a unit with built in mixer (got
one of those), and I will be also taking digital recordings on my RH1
(back on topic!) from the digital out on the desk, to form a comparison.
I have a snipe on a Fostex R8, but want to know if there are better
ones out there. I'm hoping that with all the new digital media stuff
available, basic "old time" recorders will be affordable.
