Actually, the H2 is an excellent recorder.  Despite the plastic
construction, which keeps costs down, I use two of them in my
professional broadcast work.

The lack of a PAUSE feature, which I hope will be changed in firmware
upgrades, does not detract from the superb sound quality from this
unit.

I was a MD addict for many years, and still use it as standby, but you
can't argue with solid state for convenience and sound quality.
