OK, that's scary! I also have a small Tapco, and take a stereo feed from
the desk plus a large diaphragm condensor for ambient. This I record as
two tracks - one the mixed down desk and the other the ambient. I then
upload to PC, split the tracks, and do an el cheapo mastering for a mono
final track with a good live sound. It's only for radio after all.
I now have a Yamaha MD4 and am looking forward to exploring its 4 track
recording, with a stereo final mix. But all of you *****ing about 1Mb
minidiscs should try finding some MDD 140 minidiscs!
