You also might try to search Google for the Zoom H2, a downsized but
hardly 
stripped version of the Zoom H4: crisp clear recordings, all sample rates 
and bit resolutions you want.

I'm slowly but surely getting familiar to the idea of MiniDisc really 
disappearing.  A pity, because MiniDisc truly is a marvel of technology,
but 
as already said in another thread: the future is to systems without moving

parts.
