I have a Hi-MD MZ-RH910 and this afternoon, I recorded a jazz band in
16-bit/
44.1 KHz PCM. when I got home, I wanted to upload the recorded disc
content
to my Mac using Sony's Hi-MD Music Transfer 2.0 application (I've never
tried
this before). When the MZ-RH910 is connected, via USB, to my computer,
all
the files show-up in the Sony Application's list as being PCM files on the
Hi-MD Minidisc. When I went to drag the files over the my HDD, nothing
happened. No matter what I did, the files won't transfer - except for two.
Two very short files on one of the discs I recorded today would transfer,
but
they turned out just to be noise. They differ from the other files is only
one way: Next to the title of each track, there is a musical note, but on
the
two that WOULD transfer, the musical note is in a box with one ear turned
over (indicating a file) There are no other differences. The rest of the
titles have merely a gray note next to them and not a file icon. What's
going
on? Why won't these sound files (which play fine out of the analog output
of
the MiniDisc Player, BTW) transfer to my computer? What's the real
difference
between the titles with the file icon beside them and those with the gray
note only beside them? I did nothing but record the output of a microphone
mixer to the line input of the MZ-RH910. Any help here will be
appreciated.
Thanks.
