SonicStage Question...

by J David Garnett <youknowwho@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 6, 2007 at 10:28 AM

I have a large archive of radio shows on minidiscs (in excess of
500 discs recorded in LP2 on HiMD format) and don't keep a copy
of them on my hard drive but sometimes need to transfer them
back to computer e.g. if I trade recordings with other people.

I am thinking of upgrading to a newer PC and my question is
would I still be able to transfer them back to a new PC or not?

The basis of my question is that SonicStage tells me I can only
transfer them to the original computer. However SonicStage
tells me that if I delete a recording from my computer it can
not be transferred back from a minidisc and that *is not true*.
I transfer tracks that don't exist on my PC back from minidiscs
on a nearly daily basis. If the latter is not true then is the
former???

I am using an MZ-RH10 and SS4.3 with (currently) a Pentium
200MHz computer...
