Thank you for the info. I would like a mic to hook to pc without anything
else since i don't really have money for this nor am i into it enough to
justify any real cost.
Is this something I could use directly to pc or do I need a preamp?

My sound card is the SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum and it's got a front
piece
to plug into as well as the card itself in the back. There is a spot for
the
mic and a volume knob on the front for it as well.
