Try a music shop that carries used stuff. You can get great mikes in
our local Guitar World for <50, and they even have the cables and 1/8"
phone jack adaptor.
I recommend a MXL 990 if you can wait and find one. It's a
large-diameter condenser, made in China, and a copy of the Neumann.
Sounds awesome. List price is $60 or so. You can find the specs
through the MXL website
