Tim,

I found an audio preamp for forty dollars at a local music
store. It has four 1/4" mono microphone inputs and one 1/4" mono
microphone output. Unfortunately, he did not have a cable to from a
male 1/4" mono plug to a male 1/8" three conductor (it's a stereo jack
but it's not wired stereo).

I went to Ratshack and got a pack of 1/4" mono plugs. They
were out of 1/8" stereo jacks but said that they normally stocked
them. If I can get a piece of audio cable, I think I could get a
soldering iron and make the cable with the plugs I need and wiring as
I need it.

Can you look at this drawing:

?

I suspect that if I ran some audio cable from one jack to the
other and connected tip to tip and ring to ring that what I am trying
to do might work.

Does it sound like I am on track?

	Regards,

					Fred
