Fred, it can be done, i have done it but it its not real easy nor is easy
to
describe. its is MUCH easier to use and external preamp and feed it into a
line input rather then the mic input then select line in the recorder
properties.

by far the easiest and cheapest is to just get a computer mic and plug it
in
