PC microphones are condenser type, and have internal amplifiers which
get their power from the PC. More than likely, your recorder mic is a
Dynamic type. You can pick up small PC microphones at most places that
sell computers such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, and others. They
are not very expensive, and generally run less than $20. Here is the
microphone I am using on my PC, and it has excellent audio quality.
