PC vs recorder microphone

by "chuckmg" <chuckmg@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 18, 2006 at 02:53 PM

What is the difference between a microphone for a PC and a microphone for a

recorder? I got a unidirectional microphone that works great with a
recorder but when plugged into the microphone input port of a PC has
almost
zero amplitude. What should I look for in getting a mike for a PC? For
the
recorder I was advised to look for a low impedance mike.

Chuck
