have a look at the Logitech Gaming headsets. i have a set, hasn't done
me wrong in Battlefield 2. the cord on mine is relatively long and its
got a clip that slides neatly on to, say, a pocket - and if you tug too
hard on the wire controller console, no dramas. the clip just slides off
if too much pressure is applied to it (and its easy to put it back on
securely). it doesn't use too much battery power, barely one AAA per
month. got my reccomendation :)
i actually haven't found a wireless headset with mic in my searches,
though i'm sure they exist.
