Unless your singer wants to make a serious financial commitment
your best bet is going to be the budget lines from (alphabetically)
AKG, Audio Technica, Sennheiser or Shure. If you have a decent music
store in your town go audition the systems they have in your price
range. Every voice is unique and "a raspy quality" is not enough
information for a microphone reccommendation, you need to hear her sing
on several models to find something that suits her voice (tonality and
strength) and singing style.
You will get better performance with a true diversity system, I
would avoid 1/4" audio outputs and personally I don't like headset
systems. If your local music shop is limited, then try Guitar Center,
Musicians Friend, Sam Ash, Sweetwater or whichever on-line retailer you
prefer and trust with a good return policy in case you don't like what
you get.
