My father is looking for an inexpensive solution for high quality field
recordings. He's a singer in a chorus and a piano player. He uses
the session recordings to practice at home. They don't need to be
studio quality. I just bought him a used minidisk MZ-N707 netMD with
recording capability from a microphone. Now I'm searching for a good
microphone. I would guess it needs to have good spatial separation,
high sensitivity and it needs to be portable. I was looking into
Sony's ECM-MS 907. Can you recommend anything else the fits the
bill?
