Let your fingers do the walking in the Yellow pages,  then  when you find
somewhere that sells Hi Fi,
 do a spot of driving. You can't buy  sight unseen or heard.
And I find it hard to believe that somewhere with a million people ,
doesn't
have a Hi Fi shop

It doesn't make a bit of difference whether you believe it or not.   It is
true.   No stereo shops, here, just home theatre gimmicks.
