Good brands!??
They are what I have and was just trying to make the point that YOU do
not
have to buy ALL Sony, Pioneer, whatever when building up a system (unless
yo
want to use a feature like Pioneers SR System control (Sony and others
have
their unique incompatible versions) where you can point any Pioneer
remote at
any SR interconnected device and control the intended device, even if the
device is not visible (cabinet, other room,junk in front <G>)
My opinion is buy what you like for :
Sound (that is what the object of this is <GG>
Input flexibility choices
Remote features and EASE OF USE
What you think is good value.
Read reviews, pay attention to PROBLEMS repeatedly re****ted, realizing
that
there will be disgruntled buyers.
Place close attention to device optical/ digital inputs and outputs that
you
have the *required* number of matching types. Not all devices have both.
