Chris,

   110 watts per channel is more than enough power to fill a room with 
sound. But that depends on the room and the person, of course. You state 
that you are happy with what you have yet you are shopping around..
   If you want the new home theater set up then you need to go and listen
to 
a bunch of them. It is likely that you will need to purchase both speakers

and a receiver since you probably do not have enough speakers for a home 
theater set up. I would not buy a home theater receiver and expect it to 
work well with just 2 speakers.
