Sounds like you're in good shape.  I haven't explored much about the
hdmi connection yet as I have no hd video sources yet.  Everything I
have is getting upscaled in the tv.  My audio setup is always a
priority.  Plus I haven't been willing to plunk down the "upgrade"
costs to directtv to get the hd dvr.  Once you have a dvr there is no
getting the family to give that up.  In fact it turned into the
opposite as I had to get another dvr for my teenage daughter.  She had
so much cued to be recorded that the few items I wanted to get were
always getting skipped.  Nothing worse than sitting down thinking
you're going to catch that House episode you missed only to discover
that no, it's not on the dvr.
