In other words, you have the speakers connected together in parallel.
Since
the 4240 is a solid-state amplifier, the 4-ohm load shouldn't bother it at
all. In fact, it should produce MORE power at 4-ohms than it does at 8.
Since
this is a 4-channel amp, do you run it bridged (two channel mode) or
unbridged (4-channel mode)? IIRC, the amp produces about 17 Watts/channel
into 4 channels or 40 Watts/channel bridged.
