   I took a quick look around the net and found the suggestion that model 
numbers that start with letters began coming out in the 1980s. My 
recollection is that Marantz made good receivers and amps, their other
stuff 
was not great. I'd guess this is a mediocre (not bad) dual cassette deck.
   The model number that you list in your title is different from the one 
listed in the body of your post. Try e-mailing Marantz again, being sure 
that yiou have the correct number.
