Marantz Cassette Player DA2542

Re Legacy Series, Model DA2452 SB

I remember that Marantz audio components were high-end early on, but
what about their later stuff that was made in China?

What year was the DA2452 made, and what was the approximate (new) list
price?  Was this a high-end, low-end, or mid-quality cassette
player/recorder?  I've asked these questions of the Marantz home office,
but they have no info on older production items.  Thanks, George.
